I like it when paint looks good enough to eat.
This is Candy Barr-1950's burlesque dancer.
While riding the Brooklyn subway I found some graffiti art that had been partially destroyed with acidic cleaners leaving a drippy smudge of candied colored paints. The effect was the prettiest thing I'd seen in a long time, and it inspired my painting of Candy Barr.
Miss Barr was fairly popular in Go-Go joints in Texas/Las Vegas, and became famous for her connections with Jack Ruby, shooting her estranged husband, and prison time for drug possession.
